Vampire Americana is the story of a Registered Vampire (or to be more PC, a Documented Altered Person) named Jim Cadillac. With the help of his Guardian—a beautiful tactical blonde who serves as his federally-sanctioned surrogate and secret lover—Jim clings to his humanity by being wired, medicated and heavily insured.

But seven years into his Integration Program and Jim has gotten nowhere. Add to that a brewing public hysteria, unemployment, and an age-long war between hunters and vampires make the cost of living as a human being just too much to afford.
